Mathias Möhl has released yet another “guru lesson” for After Effects this month and this one is really cool.  This months tutorial, Monster Face, is an advanced face tracking and morphing tutorial using Mocha.

Mathias breaks down the tutorial into three sections starting with the tracking in Mocha. After the tracking has been done, he gives several tips on how to make the mouth larger by using reverse stabilization and his Mocha Import Script. The wrap up includes some nice tips for adding texture to the face with just a few steps. This is a fantastic tutorial for face tracking and Mathias really covers the details for getting a good track on the entire face and head. The entire After Effects Tutorial is just over 30 minutes.
